How and why should we care about the design of spaghetti sauce? Malcomb Gladwell helps us learn: http://www.eleganthack.com/archives/gladwell_on_spagetti_sauce_design.php
Instead of looking for one design that fits all, learn about the varibility and clustering of preferences. These clusterings or groupings can provide distinct experiences that move the general population having an alright experience to a specific cluster having a fantastic experience.
With this idea, should you give lots of user preferences? Or should you provide options in clusters. Do we leave it to the users or figure it out ourselves?
