Here is a new website that I think will be very useful to people. It is a site where others help you design your room. You up load the design and others comment and suggest.

It is a very interesting idea, especially if you buy into the “crowd theory” that there is wisdom in the masses. I am not sure I buy it but for this site it is an interesting idea. If you need validation, others are there for you.
As a designer this concept intrigues me. Do I need validation on my designs or do I need validation on the ability to do work (Note I am making the distinction between reviewing (former) and experiencing (latter) here)? Validation on the design, many times, delivers the opinion of the evaluator. How important is validation when you are trying to do something new VS do the same thing? For example, if you are looking to do something innovative do you go to the PM in charge of the legacy idea for validation? How about anyone who has used or seen the legacy?
Validation of my design makes me feel good but I am not sure that asking someone if they like it is always relevant?
